Sources say at least 11 people have so far been ascertained as dead while scores were injured. However the exact could not be determined as at the time of filling this report.
According to eyewitnesses, the explosion occurred at around 9.30 a.m.
Security personnel were seen evacuating corpses and the injured.
Security operatives at the scene of the explosion included soldiers, policemen, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps and Nigeria Fire Service.
